Entrepreneur pass / Entrepass

The Entrepreneur pass / Entrepass is for foreign entrepreneur who is ready to start a new company/business and will be actively involved in the operation of the company/business in Singapore.

Upon approval of the entrepreneur pass application, entrepreneurs will be able to stay in Singapore to manage their business, possessing a valid Employment Pass for Entrepreneurs in Singapore.

Requirement and benefit for obtaining the Entrepreneur pass / Entrepass:

  • Own a company registered with the Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority (ACRA) for no longer than 6 months at the point of submission of the EntrePass application
  • The proposed business venture must not be engaged in illegal activities, and subject to type of entrepreneurial nature
  • First-time applicants may be issued with an EntrePass for a minimum of 1 year (Entrepass is renewable provide that the business is still in operation and alive)
  • Credibility of the proposed business will be used to assess first-time EntrePass application. The entrepreneur must provide a good business plan for the approval by the authority, Standards Productivity and Innovation Board Singapore (SPRING). Upon approval, Ministry of Manpower (MOM) will then issue the pass
  • Upon approval of the Entrepass, you are allowed to bring your immediate family (spouse and legitimate children below 21yrs of age) to stay in Singapore during the course of the business by applying the Dependant’s Pass (DP) for them

Dependant’s Pass

The Dependant’s Pass is a visa that permits the spouse and children of Singapore Work Visa holders e.g.Entrepreneur pass / Entrepass holder, to stay in Singapore. The child must be unmarried, legally adopted under 21 years old or new born. It is possible for Dependent’s Pass to apply for work visa later on.

Upon approval, you will be issued with a Singapore Dependent Pass card (similar to an Employment Pass card) which will state your personal particular and the validity period.

Holders of a Dependant’s Pass are also permitted to work in Singapore once their potential employer issues a letter of consent. It is best to apply for dependent pass at the same time when applying for employment pass in order to avoid any delays.

Permanent Residence Application (S’PORE PR)

Singapore Permanent Residency (SPR) is a permanent visa that permits foreigners to stay in Singapore legally without any visa restrictions. As a Singapore Permanent Resident, you will have the privilege to freely move in and out of Singapore and do not have to re-apply a work visa every time you change an employer.

You can also invest freely, secure admission into subsidized government educational institution and gain financial benefits in the form of employer’s contributions to your pension funds (CPF). In addition, you can also apply Singapore Permanent Resident for your spouse, children and parents.
